Help unpacking after a move: what to expect in NYC

The last mover walks out and the door clicks shut. Your new home is full of boxes and not much else. This is where we begin.

We arrive right after the movers leave

That's the best time to start. The heavy lifting is behind you, and your home is ready to be set up.

First, a walkthrough, room by room

We go through the whole home with you and take in everything that came with you. Seeing it all at once shows us how much there is to place, and we start mapping out how it will come together.

Then, a few questions about your days

How do you cook? Where do you get dressed? What do you reach for every single day? Your daily habits tell us how the home should work, and we set it up around them.

One category at a time, everything finds its place

We sort by category, so like things live with like things, and then each one goes to the spot we planned. Room by room, the boxes turn into a home.

A final walkthrough, together

Before we call it done, we walk through once more with you. Anything you'd like moved, we move. Once you approve, our job is done.

The boxes leave with us

We take the boxes away, and you're left with a home you can actually live in.

What comes next

Some clients book another session later for a deeper organizing pass, and we're glad to. We always suggest boxes first. Once they're gone and your days are running smoothly, making the space beautiful is a pleasure, not a chore.
